During our General Assembly on April 16th, we had to renew some of the Steering Board seats. As a result, we welcomed two new Directors to the team: Paolo Matteazzi, representing MBN Nanomaterialia and Tommy Detemmerman, representing DOW.
In this article, we are happy to introduce you to Paolo Matteazzi!
Paolo Matteazzi has been a Professor of Metallurgy at University of Udine for thirty years. Author of more than 250 scientific papers and 20 international patents mainly in powder technology and nanophased materials, he has been leading several EU funded research projects
In 1994, he co-founded MBN Nanomaterialia SpA, a production of materials powders company of which he is currently the President.
Prof. Matteazzi was also founder and Chairman of NANOfutures European Technology Platform on Nanotechnology and President of Nanofutures asbl, Brussels.
“The evolution of EMIRI in the area of the Advanced Materials 2030 Initiative will give me and MBN Nanomaterialia the opportunity to contribute to a field in which we are active for 30 years by manufacturing advanced materials” and he complements with the fact that his “past experience in building and running Nanofutures ETP may be useful for the coming IAM4EU partnership”.
