The development and adoption of innovative, efficient, lightweight, and sustainable advanced materials /processes are crucial for the EU industry to achieve significant reductions in carbon footprint and advance towards a circular economy, thereby contributing to substantial CO2 emissions reductions and a net-zero future.
The ‘Efficient, Lightweight, Sustainable Advanced Materials – Supporting EU industries to meet the Green Deal targets’ workshop convenes numerous research initiatives funded by the European Commission under Horizon Europe framework programme addressing the above challenges comprehensively.
The workshop, organised by the European Commission, aims to:
- inform industry stakeholders on the latest research actions and results in the field;
- facilitate a dialog between the research community and industry to discern industry needs and future strategies;
- align research & innovation prioritieswith forthcoming investments in the EU.
