The Hydrogen Focus Group, co-chaired by Fabrice Stassin and Karim Sidi-Ali-Cherif was officially launched as a pilot test, with the kickoff on November 5th, 2021, entitled “Advanced Materials to unlock the hydrogen revolution”. Find the recording and ppts here.

Following the kickoff, 3 TechTalks have been organised throughout the past year focused on Hydrogen production, storage and distribution and fuel cells. All these events consisted of 2 main parts. The morning sessions where different speakers presented technology updates and market perspective on the dedicated hydrogen related fields. The afternoon sessions consisted of a workshop restricted to the EMIRI members to identify further advanced Materials challenges and R&I needs. As a result of these workshops, in the upcoming months the chairs will translate all the inputs received to recommendations on advanced materials priorities for the Hydrogen economy.

The next Focus Group to be launched was the one on Batteries, co-chaired by Fabrice Stassin, Daniel Gloesener, Javier Olarte and Sigmund Kielland. On the past 29th of November, 2022, its kickoff was organised as a joint event with BEPA and Batteries Europe. This will be the first of a series of workshops where we aim to gather feedback on advanced Materials challenges and R&I needs in the field of batteries. Find the recording & ppts here.

We are excited to announce that we will be launching very soon the Focus Groups on Buildings and Low Carbon Industries.
